Marking Procedures Requirements for acceptance: ---------------------------- All assignments are to be submitted via WEB based submission sytem. Also check the code file to be sure it is original and well commented. Up to 50% will be deducted for insufficent comments. The essence of these projects is for the student to understand and clearly convey how to make the protocols work. Late penalties: --------------- Assignments or projects submitted after the due date and time will attract a penalty of 10% of the total marks available per working day late, up to a maximum of five working days. Assignments submitted after five working days will be graded with zero marks. Marking: -------- Specific results expected for each assignment are given in the assignment handouts. If the expected results are obtained give full credit (less any cuts as mentioned above). Here are the standards for partial credit: No code other than the stub submitted: no credit Program does not compile no credit Program at least compiles and has adequate comments: 25% credit Program runs but output does not show expected results: 50% credit Program runs and output is partially correct, or is but code has a clear deficiency that was not tested: 75% credit The marker may comment on particular errors, but that is not required; the mark is based on the code and other files submitted as required, so the marker is required only to describe how the program falls in one of the above categories. Unusual cases that do not fit the marking standard are to be forwarded to the lecturer for evaluation.
