All students enrolled to ece4024, ece4044
or ece4045 units have accounts on laboratory Linux systems (Clayton and Malaysia). If
you have changed your Authcate account password without ticking
the box that keeps passwords same for other hosts as well, you
will have to change your Linux password by visiting this page. If you
only want to change your Linux password, click the Passwords
for Subject/Unit specific computers link on the right hand
bottom of the bunch.

Check that a file called .bashrc exists in your home directory (the directory you see first when you login), and its contents looks like this (also, if the file is missing, you can download it from there).
